Convert microns and millimetres
1 mm equals 1,000 μm. Divide a value in μm by 1,000 to convert it to mm. These examples are unit conversions, not a statement of Hanafilm’s available manufacturing thicknesses.

Distinguish one film layer from two sides of a bag
A measurement through a closed bag, a fold or a seal can differ from a single-layer film measurement. State the number of layers, measurement location and instrument used. A photo or ordinary ruler alone cannot establish the thickness of thin film.
Thickness alone does not establish strength or suitability
Material, bag format, sealing, contents and use conditions also need review. Send the size, weight and edges of the contents, the packing process and existing product information. The required specification and production feasibility are confirmed during the enquiry.

How many mm is 50 μm?
50 μm equals 0.05 mm. There are 1,000 μm in 1 mm, so divide the micron value by 1,000.
Can I reorder a bag based only on its thickness?
Thickness alone does not establish that two products are equivalent. Check the material, width and length, folds and seals, contents and quantity units as well.
How do I enquire if I do not know the thickness?
Send photos, labels and any existing specification. If you have a measurement, include its unit, the number of layers measured and the measurement location. Leave unknown details marked as unconfirmed.
